Statistical Databases

  • ProQuest Statistical Abstract of the United States
    A compendium of statistical data from the US Government. You may also want to visit the Census Bureau's American FactFinder
  • State and Metropolitan Area Data Book & County and City Data Book
    The electronic version provides more current data as well as source links which allow the user to access additional data not included in Census Bureau publications. Also provided are links to additional statistical resources which are not included in the publications.
  • Mergent Online
    Company financials, descriptions, history, property, subsidiaries officers and directors. Powerful intuitive search capabilities combined with an easy to use interface, access to risk ratings, credit information and recommendations under one platform.
  • Statistical Insight
    Significant online source of statistical data in US and International government and other publications.
  • EuroStat
    Eurostat is the statistical office of the European Union situated in Luxembourg. Its task is to provide the European Union with statistics at European level that enable comparisons between countries and regions. Eurostat's mission: to be the leading provider of high quality statistics on Europe.
 

Search for data in Google

This is a custom Google search which should find relevant data on the web. Try searching vietnam gdp, obesity or miguel cabrera. Use the "image tab" in the results for possible graphs or other visualizations.

You also want to try Quandl or Zanran

    Search over 7,000,000 financial, economic, and social datasets.
  • Zanran
    Search the web for data and statistics.
 

Search for Datasets in Summon

Journal articles often include statistical data. They will also include a reference to the data source. This can be a handy way to dig for useful data or to identify the source for the data you need.
