Schaffer Library has a variety of resources, collections, events, and exhibits to offer the greater community. Check us out virtually or in person!

Schaffer Library provides a wealth of resources to the students, faculty, and staff of Union College. Many of these resources are also available to members of the greater community, including:

Databases & electronic resources

Community access to Schaffer Library's electronic resources is available on the public workstations in the library building. Please stop by the Library Service Desk to obtain a guest login. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide remote access or distribute the guest login information to off-campus researchers.

Reference USA: Provides business and consumer data to academic institutions across the nation, with real-time access to accurate, in-depth information on 24 million U.S. businesses and 1.5 million Canadian Businesses. Find new business opportunities, research executives and companies, find news articles, conduct job searches, research papers, locate addresses and phone numbers, conduct market research and much more.

RefWorks: A web-based tool for managing references and bibliographical information, that allows you to create your own personal database by importing references from text files, online databases, or other sources. You may then automatically format bibliographies in one of many different citation styles.

Vault: Explore industry overviews, career fields, company information and more.
