Other places to find insurance are through employer benefits or through Healthcare.gov. If you’re choosing coverage through a workplace, double check the dates for open enrollment dates and whether you have to elect for coverage each year. If you change jobs, have a child, get married, or having another qualifying event, you may be eligible for a special enrollment period to make changes. 

You insurance may come with a deductible, which is the amount you pay for covered health care services

before your insurance plan starts to pay. However, most insurance cover what are considered preventive services like your annual exams before you hit your deductible. Make sure to ensure your doctor is covered by your insurance before heading out for your exam. You could be responsible for paying out of pocket if they are not in your network.
