Women and Gender Studies

Professional associations can provide a wealth of resources for students and professionals.  These associations publish current research, host conferences,  and can provide professional development courses. Below is a limited list of professional associations in the field of Gender and Women's Studies

• American Association of University Women

• National Organization for Women

• National Women's Studies Association

  "NWSA is a professional organization dedicated to leading the field of women's studies and gender studies, as well as its teaching, learning, research, and service wherever they be found."

• Society of Gender Professionals

  "A non-profit membership network of gender practitioners, academics, and activists dedicated to promoting feminist action and applied research, and raising the profile of gender expertise"
• Wellesley Centers for Women

  "The largest social science organization in the U.S. dedicated to gender research."
